In the second half of last year, I participated in MI and character development projects to be used for the opening of the National Iksan Children's Museum as a good opportunity. I was in charge of the development of the character, and I produced a total of six characters, producing Dr. Novan and Dr.Wa

It was difficult to characterize the history of Baekje Iksan Bay's unique characteristics, but through various data surveys and advice, I learned the history of Dr. Novan and Dr. Wa, who were architectural engineers who helped me greatly at the time of the Mireuksaji. Subcharacters were created using artifacts that could show the technical characteristics of each doctoral character. The subcharacter of Dr. Novan, the architectural craftsman, originated from the wooden hammer and the gold coins made by the craftsman, which he used as a net and gold wind. The subcharacter of Dr. Wa, the craftsman of the tile, and Amen took the motif from two tiles he made.

When Mireuksaji flourished in the past, the two craftsmen who helped the people to build a huge Buddhist temple fell asleep in history with the declining Mireuksaji. After that, the two craftsmen who woke up again by the later generations decided to join forces for the revival of Mireuksaji for a while to admire the present Republic of Korea.The children who came to the Mireuksaji Museum tell the great heritage and history of Mireuksaji and dream of coming back to the old prime.

작년 말 하반기, 좋은 기회로 국립 익산 어린이 박물관의 개장에 사용될 MI와 캐릭터 개발 프로젝트에 참여하게 되었습니다. 저는 캐릭터의 개발을 맡았고 노반박사와 와박사 패밀리 캐릭터를 제작, 총 6개의 캐릭터를 제작했습니다.

백제 익산만의 고유한 특징을 담아낸 역사를 캐릭터화 시키는 작업은 어려웠으나 다양한 자료조사와 조언들을 통해서 미륵사지 창궐 당시 큰 도움을 준 건축 기술사인 노반 박사와 와박사라는 장인의 역사를 알게 되었습니다. 서브 캐릭터들은 각 박사 캐릭터의 기술적인 특징을 보여줄 수 있는 유물들을 활용해 제작했습니다. 건축 장인인 노반박사의 서브캐릭터는 나망과 금풍으로 그가 사용하던 도구인 나무 망치와 장인이 만든 금동풍탁에서 비롯됐습니다. 기와 장인인 와박사의 서브캐릭터인 수냥과 아멍은 그가 만든 두가지 기와에서 모티브를 따왔습니다.

과거 미륵사지가 번성했을 때 백성들을 도와 거대한 불국사를 건립했던 두 장인은 이후 쇠퇴하는 미륵사지와 함께 역사 속으로 잠들게 되었습니다. 그 후 후대에 의해 다시 깨어나게 된 두 장인은 현재의 대한민국을 보며 감탄하는 것도 잠시, 다시 미륵사지의 부흥을 위해 힘을 합하기로 결심합니다. 미륵사지 박물관에 찾아온 어린이 관람객에게 미륵사지의 위대한 유산과 그 역사들을 들려주며 과거 그 옛날 전성기가 다시 찾아오기를 꿈꿉니다.
